Reptile Room is an electro-pop trio formed in Atlanta in 2017 by Bill Zimmerman and brother and sister Sean and Sami Michelsen. The three members do all creative work collectively, be it writing, recording and mixing, or editing photos, videos and designing art. They’ve worked with MTV, E! and Red Bull and have been nominated for an Atlanta Culture Award presented by Live Nation. AudioFemme recently stated they are known for their “thrilling, psychedelic visuals, intoxicating music, and powerful performances.” Creative Loafing describes their music as “wet reverby soundscapes, stuttering beats, sultry sensibility, and deep bass.”

Talk is the standout first single from the upcoming debut Jade on Om Records. Reminiscent of London Grammar if they went down south, Talk is a slamming electronic pop heavyweight with deep bass drops and Sami’s powerful sweeping vocals floating over top. Sami explains “Talk started with the hook, the ‘we don't talk about it anymore...we don't love the way we did before’ really says everything there is to say. The verses are the details. The song isn't just about one person or one thing that happened, it's about everything that's left unsaid; every little thing that ends up seeping thru your cracks and changing things...being without the things you want and need.” This is surely the start of amazing things ahead.

The song showcases the meticulous aspect to writing that come from a band honed in on full expression. Their organic flow is brought out in their thoughtful dynamics, their spiraling sound, and their atmospheric presence.
